Gingival Discoloration

Pigments that give dark color to the skin in dark-skinned people can often cause gingival discoloration. While the dark coloration in the gums used to be only surgically treatable, it is now easily performed with laser.

In people with dark discolorations in the gums, it is possible to apply laser treatment to gums. Coloring procedures which can be performed in a single session based on the case can be treated in multiple sessions for deeply discolored tissues.

Depending on the condition of the tissues, patients do not experience any pain after these treatments under anesthesia or without anesthesia, and problems such as swelling and bleeding of the gums are not encountered. After all the procedures, the patient gets rid of the darkened tooth color and smiles more freely.
